Our current focus
We currently support initiatives in five different areas of interest.
Programs for youth and children
These are generally local efforts where our interests in providing
opportunities to women, youth and families from disadvantaged
circumstances are fostered. |
West End House Boys & Girls Club of Allston-Brighton |
Progressive
"infrastructure"
These initiatives support the basic building blocks
of a progressive agenda in the area of ideas development, media,
leadership development, and civic engagement.
The arts
ICA Boston |
We have an interest in supporting arts institutions
that promote contemporary works, new ways of conceiving and presenting
current experience, and that have a strong focus on outreach
to - and engagement of - local communities. |
Understanding shifting family dynamics and gender roles
We are interested in achieving a better understanding of the seismic
changes to family structures and gender roles in recent decades.
We seek to expand and influence the larger public debate about the
real lives of families today and to explore how to better support
them. We are also interested in supporting organizations and individual
projects that advance women's equality and leadership.
International
community development
On a limited basis we support community development
programs, especially those aimed at women, in two countries of interest:
Mexico and Burkina Faso, Africa.
